During your first fertility consultation you will speak with a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist about your medical history and your family-building goals, as well as your possible treatment options and required fertility testing.
Each initial fertility consultation is one hour, allowing you plenty of time to get to know your doctor, ask questions, and discuss your goals.
The cost of an initial fertility consultation for those with a participating insurance provider is $350. This amount will be billed to your insurance company.
If you do not have insurance, the cost of your initial fertility consultation will be $200.
We recommend reaching out to your insurance provider to discuss any co-payments for your visit.
After your consultation, your financial coordinator (who we refer to as your Insurance & Billing Advocate) will perform a benefit check and then update you regarding future costs, based on your doctor's proposed treatment plan.
The cost of for a returning patient consultation is $295. If you have a participating insurance provider, this amount will be billed to your insurance company.
Yes, we recommend reaching out to any previous providers to obtain copies of any related medical records.
This may include your OB/GYN, a urologist, previous fertility clinic, endocrinologist, or other provider. The more information your Illume doctor has about your reproductive health, the better!
After your initial consultation, your clinical Care Team (which will include your patient navigator, a fertility nurse, and a financial coordinator) will reach out to you to introduce themselves.
They will then update you on next steps, including fertility testing appointments and when to call the office regarding "Day 1." Your financial coordinator will also conduct a benefit check with your insurance based on your proposed treatment plan.
Yes, any information you share during your consultation will remain secure and confidential. Your privacy is always our priority.
For your initial fertility consultation and follow-up consultation, you will meet with your primary doctor (one of our eight board-certified reproductive endocrinologists).
Illume Fertility has a collaborative care model, meaning that you may see one of our other doctors at subsequent morning monitoring, testing, or other appointments.
We always strive to schedule big milestone appointments (like embryo transfers) with your primary doctor whenever possible - but rest assured, you will always be in excellent hands.
