$1,000 - $2,000
Timed intercourse, often referred to as TI, is a fertility treatment that involves monitoring ovulation to determine the most fertile days, then planning sexual intercourse around that specific time. The primary objective is to increase the chances of conception by ensuring that sperm is present in the fallopian tubes when the egg is released.
The cost of a timed intercourse cycle can vary depending on several factors, such as which medications are used, the extent of monitoring required, and any added fees from your fertility clinic.
Some benefits of ovulation induction include:
$1,000 - $2,000+
The goal of ovulation induction therapy is to achieve healthy ovulation and, depending on the diagnosis, the ovulation of multiple eggs (instead of just one each month).
Inducing the release of more than one egg during an intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycle can also dramatically increase the chance of pregnancy. Candidates for ovulation induction therapy often include those with unexplained infertility, irregular or absent ovulation, or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Some benefits of ovulation induction include:
$3,830 - $7,000
Intrauterine insemination is a short, in-office procedure that can help overcome fertility challenges like mild to moderate male factor infertility without additional procedures, such as an egg retrieval.
By placing a high concentration of sperm directly into the uterus, more sperm can reach the egg, increasing chances of conception. When combined with ovulation induction, IUI can also treat other fertility issues like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Some benefits of IUI include:
$12,850 - $24,250
In vitro fertilization is a highly-effective fertility treatment method which involves using fertility medications to stimulate ovulation, retrieving eggs from the ovaries, and fertilizing them with sperm in a laboratory. The resulting embryos are then assessed for quality, and can be frozen or transferred into the uterus to attempt pregnancy.
IVF is often used when other fertility treatments have failed or for specific conditions such as blocked fallopian tubes, male factor infertility, or genetic disorders.
Some benefits of IVF include:
$12,850 - $24,250
Reciprocal IVF (RIVF) offers the opportunity for both partners in a same-sex female (or trans male) couple to contribute to the family-building process in a unique and beautiful way. One partner’s eggs are used to create embryos, and the other partner then carries the pregnancy and delivers the child.
One partner "donates" their eggs (taking fertility medications to produce multiple eggs and undergoing an egg retrieval). After egg retrieval, those eggs are combined with your chosen donor sperm in the IVF laboratory. The carrying partner then goes on medication to prepare her uterus for an embryo transfer.
The cost of RIVF ends up looking very similar to that of a traditional IVF journey, with added costs typically coming in the form of donor sperm.
Some benefits of RIVF include:
$48,000 - $140,000+
Gestational surrogacy is a type of surrogacy where a woman (known as a surrogate or gestational carrier) carries and delivers a baby for another person or couple (the intended parents) but is not genetically related to the child.
The embryo is created through IVF using the eggs and sperm of the intended parents and/or their chosen donors, and then transferred to the surrogate's uterus.
Some benefits of surrogacy include:

You've got questions - we've got answers.
If you are less than 35 years old and have been trying to conceive without success for more than 1 year, you should schedule an appointment with a fertility specialist. If you are over 35 years old, that recommendation shortens to 6 months, per the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
However, if you or your partner have a history of pelvic inflammatory disease, painful periods, miscarriages, irregular menstrual cycles, or low sperm count, you should seek help sooner.
For single parents by choice and those in the LGBTQ+ community who will need a donor and/or surrogate, you should reach out to a specialist as soon as possible to begin the process.
At Illume, you are assigned a full team of providers and support staff devoted to your unique journey. Your Care Team is made up of a reproductive endocrinologist, patient navigator, fertility nurse, and financial counselor.
Plus, all patients have access to our physician associate, Genetic Counseling Team, and in-house Integrated Fertility & Wellness program (which includes acupuncture, counseling, nutrition, support groups, and more).
