Thelma Osei, NP

Thelma Osei is a nurse practitioner who brings a wealth of experience in healthcare to her work at Illume Fertility.

After her women’s health rotation, Thelma knew she wanted to pursue a career in the field. A desire to challenge herself and expand her knowledge led Thelma to fertility care.

She works closely with patients to achieve their fertility and family-building goals, performing diagnostic testing such as morning monitoring and pregnancy ultrasounds, hysterosalpingograms (HSG), saline sonograms (SHG) and fertility treatments such as intrauterine insemination (IUI).

"Dealing with my own health issues as a teenager, I always appreciated how kind and caring the nurses and doctors were towards me. I wanted to be just like them, and this drove me to pursue a career in healthcare."

Thelma grew up in East Hartford, CT, and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University in 2014.

She went on to receive her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Connecticut, and finally, her Post Masters Emergency Medicine degree at Drexel University.

The best part of her work as a nurse practitioner at Illume? Seeing her patients' dreams come true. “Nothing is more rewarding than experiencing the excitement and joy on a patient's face during their first pregnancy scan,” says Thelma.
